Add the ability to edit the label of external devices

Adding or changing the label of an external device (eg pendrive, SD card, etc.) is a common action and is not available in the Nautilus interface. The available option is to go to Disks, where said option is not easy to locate. On other platforms it is easy to perform this action, which is why it is desirable for nautilus.

Based on the comments of a friend recently arrived at gnu/linux:

  • Using the context menu of the sidebar, you see the options for bookmarks and a clueless user may think first of all "rename" refers to changing the label of the device and is not selectable.

  • Using the contextual menu of the sidebar, the bookmark options on external devices doesnt make sense (I ignore the use cases here).

  • With the current configuration and ignoring the existence of Disks, it gives the impression that it is necessary to format in order to change the label of an external device.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
