Thumbnails have different size randomly
Affected version
Files 43
Files 44
Steps to reproduce
Open a random folder
Current behavior
I experience an issue with thumbnails where it happens that some thumbnails are just smaller than the rest within the same folder. The issue does not happen with a particular format (can happend with pdf, png, jpg) and is not bound to a specific folder either. It just happens randomly.
If I change the icon size, the affected thumbnails stay the same while the rest is getting bigger or smaller according to the choice I make. It seems those thumbnails are ignored somehow. If I delete all thumbnails in .cache and go back into this folder where the issue occurs the thumbnails regenerate fine. I have no clue what the problem might be here.
Had the issue with Gnome 43, now its happening with Gnome 44 too. Ubuntu 22.10 and 23.04.
See the screenshot below. Thumbnails in the second row from the right have a different size. Any idea and a possible solution?
Expected behavior
Thumbnails should have the same size.
