When device is ejected, Nautilus stops showing its content but it keeps showing its name with the Eject button on the left tab.
Affected version
- Nightly flatpak: Yes
- Other: Fedora Gnome 44, nautilus-44~beta-1.fc38.x86_64
Steps to reproduce
- Start Nautilus.
- Connect a device (SD card).
- See how the device appears on the left tab.
- Click on the device and browse it.
- Click on Eject -> the folder changes to
home
but the device stays visible on the left tab. - Select it -> you receive an D-bus error (see attachment), which indicates the device has been removed.
- Remove the device physically, then the device disappears from the left tab.
Current behavior
The device shown in the left tab does not disappear after it has been ejected, nor does the Eject button, which confuses users who might think that the device has not been properly ejected and that it cannot be disconnected.
Expected behavior
Either the whole device should disappear when ejected, or at least the Eject button, or some other indicator that it is safe to remove the device should be shown.
