ctrl+l auto-completion inserting itself at the wrong time

Steps to reproduce
Open nautilus hit ctrl+l start typing a full path. It may take multiple tries to reproduce
Current behavior
As you are typing, the auto-completion will sometimes insert itself unprompted, placing the cursor somewhere in the middle of an auto-filled path. This causes the user to need to manually correct the path.

Expected behavior
The auto-completion should only insert itself with an appropriate user action, like hitting the right arrow or tab.

I think this is a regression with nautilus 43.
