Performance/Hang when using CIFS target

Interaction with the mount point via other software (cp, rsync) works at expected line-speed, but nautilus hangs completely when trying to move more than a handful of files. I've "tested" with 1,2,3,4 files and that seems to work fine (usually), but if you try to move a folder of files (e.g. an album of music) it completely hangs and never completes. There's a screenshot in the second link above.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
