Empty wastebasket dialog often isn't useful and is hard to act on
I see this when I eject a removable USB drive:
Various issues here:
- We seem to show the dialog whenever there is anything in the volume's trash. In a lot of situations it isn't very useful: you can have a huge disk which is mostly empty, and we still show the dialog every time you eject.
- The cancel button is in the middle rather than coming first
- The heading isn't using header capitalization
- Uncapitalized "not" looks weird
- Uses technical terms: "volume", "unmount"
- The cancel button is hard to decipher - what's being cancelled?
- There's no mention of what's in the trash, or how full the drive is, which makes it hard to make a decision
- It feels a bit verbose
It would be better if we could only show the dialog when a drive is low on space, and present it as a low space warning, like:
