43: list of installed plugins is empty
Affected version
- Ubuntu 22.10
- Nautilus 43~rc-1ubuntu1
Steps to reproduce
- Click ☰ > About Files
- Then Click Troubleshooting > Debugging Information
Current behavior
My dialog shows
Currently installed plugins:
For bug testing only, the following command can be used:
NAUTILUS_DISABLE_PLUGINS=TRUE nautilus
Expected behavior
- I have nautilus-python 4 alpha installed with 2 working extensions: gsconnect and tilix
- I also installed working installed extensions for file-roller and gnome-terminal.
Additional information
- Ubuntu (and Debian) use multiarch by default. That makes the default extension directory
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/nautilus/extensions-4/
- So we also ship a patch to support
/usr/lib/nautilus/extensions-4/
I don't know of anything that would use that non-multiarch directory but it seemed useful to provide that for compatibility.
