Files (Nautilus) gets RunTimeError when dragging and dropping a file with Alt-key to another tab
Affected version
- Nightly flatpak: Yes
- Other: nautilus-40.2-1.fc34.x86_64.rpm in Fedora 34
Steps to reproduce
- Open two tabs on different folders.
- In the 1st tab, grab and drag one file with Alt-key pressed down.
- Drag the file over 2nd tab bar and release.
- Dialog window appears to choose "Move/Copy/Link here" the file.
- Choose Link.
Current behavior
A soft link is created, but:
Nautilus (Files) crashes with message:
RuntimeError: object at 0x7fffcd964e80 of type ColumnExtension is not initialized
Or flatpak version crashes with message:
(org.gnome.NautilusDevel:2): Gtk-WARNING **: 13:11:29.398: Duplicate child name in GtkStack: backup Gdk-Message: 13:11:34.893: Error reading events from display: Invalid argument
Expected behavior
A soft link would be created in destination folder and Nautilus would not crash.
