Preferences window title not available for translation
Affected version
- Nightly flatpak: Yes (40.2-7058f1e2)
- Other: nautilus 40.1-1 in Arch Linux
Steps to reproduce
- Open Nautilus
- Press menu button in top-right corner of the window
- Select Preferences in the popover menu
Current behavior
The title of the "Preferences" dialog window shows in English even when other locale are set.
Expected behavior
The title be shown translated.
Additional information
The translation file for my language, po/pt_BR.po
, is completely translated.
The translation file has a "Preferences" source string (msgid) but it was automatically marked as obsolete (i.e. line starting with #~
) which means the source files no longer have the "Preferences" string to be extracted into po files. See https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/nautilus/-/blob/fe69538ba52af8e2b1949bedc6bd63e9eedc7fbb/po/pt_BR.po#L5770
