Nautilus freezes when I search for the first time
Affected version
- Nightly flatpak: No, because unlikely to be reproducible. But tested with it and not reproducible.
- Other: Fedora 33 Workstation, installed and upgraded a long time ago,
Steps to reproduce
- At boot and login of your system open Nautilus.
- Go to a directory and type for something (three letters) to find it.
Edit: I should note it freezes at about 2 letters that I have typed, so I (rarely?) can type even 3 letters, but I guess that depends on the speed of my system.
Current behavior
Nautilus freezes. At some point of time the GNOME screen "Nautilus is not responding" is shown and you can force-close it.
At the next restart everything works as expected.
Expected behavior
Do not freeze
Additional information
I've installed the devel package and may provide a stacktrace if I'm able to at the next restart.
Also note this is an old system, IO have indexing enabled and may have a lot of indexes. Also the dir I search for in is quite big. But it is usually reproducible at the next boot.
