Does not show creation date on Live USB
Affected version
- Nightly flatpak: Yes
- Other: Linux Mint 20.1 (Cinnamon), elementary OS 5.1.7 and Fedora 33 (GNOME)
- nautilus 96b46687
Steps to reproduce
- Create a Live USB for Linux Mint 20.1, elementary OS 5.1.7 and Fedora 33 with rufus[1] on Windows 8.1 or Windows 10. rufus uses FAT32 as file system for this Live USB by default.
[1]In this case I took the latest version 3.13 https://github.com/pbatard/rufus/releases
-
Restart the computer or notebook and boot from Live USB.
-
Install the nightly nautilus version via flatpak.
-
Open the nightly nautilus version.
-
Add "Created" to the column.
-
Create a directory and a file (.txt).
-
It does not show creation date on Live USB for this data. The entry is empty. One exception is on Fedora 33 (GNOME) it displays creation date. But if the .txt file is edited and add some words and save. Then created date is on current time just like modified date.
Current behavior
Creation date entry is empty on Live USB.
Expected behavior
The expected behavior is that creation date displays on Live USB. This means that the entry must not be empty.
Additional information
Under Steps to reproduce in point 4, when I open it on a Linux distribution with GNOME, like Fedora 33. nautilus can not be launched via Activities. I have to start it by command.
