"Set as default" has no effect and reverts back to application set in Default Applications
Tested environment on two seperate setups:
- Fedora 32 Workstation
- Gnome 3.36.1
- Nautilus 3.36.1
Problem: Choosing a recommended application, followed by "Set as default" has no effect for the tested mime types.
Seen behaviour: Choosing a new application and "Set as default" does not set the choosen application as default. The selection instantly snaps back to the "old" default.
Screen capture of the seen behaviour: Peek_2020-04-19_14-29
Expected behaviour: Lollypop is choosen as the new default application for video/ogg.
Tested mime types:
- video/ogg
Default applications settings:
Assumption: Default applications overrules the selection in Nautilus for video/ogg. The "Open With" > "Set as default" shows a short flicker and reverts back to the Default applications application.
Additional information: Playing the file with Context menu > Open With Other Application > Lollypop works. This does however not affect the default application setting.
