Nautilus submenu annotation popups shown in the wrong place on Wayland
Trying to explain what I mean by the title:
- in the hamburger menu beside the close button when you hover on any of the icons (new tab, new window ..etc) nautilus would show an annotations explaining the icon.
- This problem appear only on Wayland (everything is okay on Xorg)
Affected version
- Nautilus 3.30, 3.32, 3.34 (I don't know about the nightly version or any version prior to 3.30)
Steps to reproduce
- Log in to a Wayland session
- Open the hamburger menu. (the one beside the close button)
- Hover on one of the icons.
- The annotation appear.
Current behavior
The annotation appear on the wrong side .. far away from the Icon.
Expected behavior
The annotation appear on the same side as the icon (this is the current behavior on Xorg)
Additional information
I tried this on Debian 10, Debian testing, Ubuntu 19.10, Fedora 31. of course the hamburger menu was not in Nautilus 3.30 but the menu beside the "toggle view" button has the same behavior (bug).
the Attached photos are taken from a system running Debian 10 (nautilus 3.30).
