Show dropdown menu with all open tabs for easier navigation
Use cases
It's currently very hard to navigate the tabs if you have a lot of tabs open in one window. It would be nice to have a feature, which for example some of the IDEs and code editors use to solve this - a dropdown menu hidden behind an icon placed to the right of the tabs, where you can quickly choose a tab by name and jump to it by selecting it.
One example: if you close a tab you automatically jump back to the first one and subsequently have to scroll back and forth to search for the tab you were located in before closing the last tab (e.g. if you open a few subfolders to look for something and want to close one after another after looking through it).
Desired behaviour
Show dropdown with all open tabs by clicking on some icon. Selecting a tab from the dropdown changes the focus to the tab selected.
Benefits of the solution
Easier navigation if a lot of tabs is open inside of one window (a lot of tabs is hidden to the left or right of the tabs bar).
Possible drawbacks
One more thing to maintain... I see none otherwise.
