Unable to create a new folder in "file list" view mode
While helping someone to back up their data, we found that Fedora file manager does not have a menu to create a new directory. Later I figured, it's because the "file list" view mode doesn't have it implemented.
Affected version
- Nightly flatpak: Yes
- Archlinux, nautilus 3.34.1
Steps to reproduce
- Press "Toggle view" button to make files in nautilus appear as a list
- Right-click the list in any place (note that the "any" place would always be a file or a directory, i.e. because there's no empty space which would've allowed you to click "behind the files")
Current behavior
Right-click makes the file clicked focused, so the context menu being called not for current directory, but for the focused file.
Expected behavior
In "file list" mode, right-click should not focus the file, because it makes one unable to get menu for the current directory itself.
