Menus: "Open With Other Application" should always be next to "Open With <application>"
This is about UI/UX.
I frequently use "Open With Other Application" from menus, but I always accidentally press "Open This Location" on the search view, because I expect the next to "Open With <application>" is always "Open With Other Application".
In my opinion, it's strange and not ergonomic that "Open Item Location" is between "Open With <application>" and "Open With Other Application". Could you please reconsider this arrangement?
Affected version
- Nightly flatpak: Yes
- Other: Fedora 31, Nautilus 3.34.1
Steps to reproduce
- Open menus by right-clicking files.
Current behavior
In the menu of the normal view, next to "Open With <application>" is "Open With Other Application".
On the other hand, in the menus of the search/recent/starred views, next to "Open With <application>" is "Open Item Location".
Expected behavior
Next to "Open With <application>" is always "Open With Other Application", even in the menus of the search/recent/starred views.
Additional information
I also think the separator between "Open With <application>" and "Open With Other Application" is probably unnecessary, as they are well-related.
Maybe the UI file should be like this:
...
<menu id="selection-menu">
<section>
<attribute name="id">new-folder-with-selection-section</attribute>
</section>
<section>
<attribute name="id">open-with-default-application-section</attribute>
<item>
<attribute name="label" translatable="yes">Open In New _Tab</attribute>
...
</item>
<item>
<attribute name="label" translatable="yes">Open In New _Window</attribute>
...
</item>

<attribute name="label" translatable="yes">Open With Other _Application</attribute>
