Navigating back through history past searches requires multiple navigation attempts
Steps to reproduce
- Search in a folder (via typing or Ctrl+F)
- Navigate into a folder in the search results
- Navigate back (either Alt+Left or clicking the Back button) to the search view
- Navigate back again
Reproducible in:
- Flatpak unstable: yes
- Other: Arch Linux, Nautilus 3.32.1-628fc3c4, 3.34.1-7a2a59b6; Fedora 29, Nautilus 3.30.5
Current behavior
The navigation does not go back past the search from the search screen and it is necessary to navigate back again, sometimes twice. This means that usually I will have to navigate backwards twice from the search screen, sometimes three times, to get back to the folder I was in before the search.
Expected behavior
The navigation should go back past the search screen to the previous view with a single backwards navigation.
Additional information
Possibly related to general navigation around searches, I also found that the navigation history after a search (going forwards) isn't retained, but I assume that could be by design.
