Shell search provider does not find single-character words
Steps to reproduce
- Create a file
~/Documents/Blah B - Test 3.desktop
. - Verify it is present in tracker index
tracker search -f -l 10000000 | grep Blah
. - Try searching
Blah B
via the shell search provider. - No results are found.
Reproducible in:
- Flatpak unstable: I assume so (the link in the template seems to be dead)
- Other: 3.32.1
Current behavior
Files containing words of a single letter are not found via the shell search provider. They are found via the nautilus search.
Expected behavior
Files containing words of a single letter are found via both the shell search provider as well as the nautilus search.
Additional information
Renaming the file to Blah Bo - Test 3.desktop
makes everything work. It seems to have something to do with the second word being a single character.
May be related to #78 (closed). I created a new issue because it was closed and for your convenience to have small, more digestible tickets.
