I only encounter this crash sometimes, but I can't reproduce it. But I never experienced it on XOrg, only on Wayland.
Bug summary
Sometimes, GNOME Shell just crashes. This means that I still see the standard GNOME desktop (including the top bar) and all Windows, but I am mostly unable to click on anything.
To get back to work, I use Super+S, then navigate with keyboard to the power menu. On the power menu however, I can right click the entries, but I can't left click them. I can interact with the created confirm dialog using a right click, too.
Steps to reproduce
As it is a bug I encounter sometimes, I was not really able to reproduce it.
What happened
The things described above: I am mostly unable to click on things, sometimes a right click works. And GNOME shell crashes.
What did you expect to happen
I expected Mutter to not crash.
