Maximized window does not extend fully to panel bottom edge with fractional scaling
- Arch Linux | Kernel 6.7.0
- Gnome-shell | Mutter 46.alpha
- Wayland (
gnome-shell --no-x11
) - nVidia 545.29.06
I could swear I've seen this reported previously, but failed to dig it up.
When a running fullscreen application is behind a maximized window there is a 1px line visible below the panel of the contents of the hidden fullscreen app.
In this case, it's a Qemu VM (guest desktop background) visible behind a maximized terminal window.
- 1.25 scaling factor via
org.gnome.mutter experimental-features "['scale-monitor-framebuffer']"
This does not occur at 1.00 scaling. I haven't tested other scaling factors.
Easy to replicate/see with any fullscreen app like a browser window with a light color behind Console.
