Touchscreen inputs not matching with non-default aspect ratio
Affected version
GNOME Shell 43.6 (Debian 12)
Bug summary
On a computer with Linux running GNOME and a touchscreen, if the display changes to an aspect ratio that is not the default, the range for the touchscreen does not update.
Steps to reproduce
- Have a computer with a touchscreen and GNOME-variety Linux installed
- In Displays under Settings, change to a screen resolution that has a different aspect ratio (in my case 16:9->16:10)
- Click Apply
- Try to interact with the operating system using the touch screen.
What happened
Inputs do not match behavior in the OS. For example, in order to open "Activities" in the top left corner after moving from 16:9 to 16:10, I need to tap to the left of it in the black bar to the side of the display.
What did you expect to happen
I expected tapping "Activities" to open the Activities view
