Resuming after plugging in external monitor during suspend windows are incorrect
On the Intel Broadwell laptop Dell Latitude E7250 (i7-5600U, Intel Corporation HD Graphics 5500 [8086:1616] (rev 09)) with Debian sid/unstable with linux-image-6.4.0-1-amd64 6.4.4-2, mutter 43.6-1 and gnome-shell 43.7-1, GNOME is configured to use an external HiDPI Dell monitor as the only display. Now suspend the laptop, with no external monitors connected, so the the panel 1366x768 panel is used. When it is suspended, attached the 4K external monitor and resume the laptop.
Quite often, the Firefox/Nightly (formerly maximized) windows are not correctly sized for the screen but bigger. Even the title bar of the window is not shown. In this case it looks like it’s double the screen width.
Resizing the window, with for example Meta key + right arrow, and then Meta key + up arrow, the window size is correct.
