GTK Apps have pointy corners and no shadows when they got closed when half tiled and reopened right after
Affected version
OS: Fedora 38
Mutter Version: 44.0
Display Protocol: Wayland
Bug summary
When opening an gtk application, it will normally have rounded corners and a shadow. But if you half tile it, then close it and reopen it, it seems that the app still thinks it is half tiled and it has pointy corners and no shadow around the main app window.
Steps to reproduce
- Open an gtk app like gnome software.
- drag it to the left or right border of the desktop to half tile it.
- After the app got half tiled, close it.
- Open the same app again.
What happened
The app seems to still be treated as a half tiled app as it still has pointy corners and no shadow around the app window.
What did you expect to happen
The app should launch with rounded corners and a shadow around the main window.

If this is the wrong component to report this bug to, please guide me to the right one. It was hard for me to decide between mutter and gnome shell and settled for mutter.
I have made a screen recording with the integrated feature to show the problem:
