Panning (i.e. screen scrolling) not supported with tablet
Feature summary
Tablets are nice mice replacements but there is a missing feature on Gnome with Mutter on Wayland (Xorg is fine) which is panning (to replace mouse scrolling). The idea is that by pressing a button (either on the keyboard, tablet or stylus), moving the pen does not move the cursor but moves the canvas under it (much like what already exists for multi-touch touchpads).
How would you like it to work
- Go in settings, under "Wacom tablet".
- Select the button that should be associated with panning (either on the stylus or on the tablet itself).
- Assign "Pan" to that button.
- Click apply.
- Now when clicking that button, any stylus move is converted to a canvas move.
