Gnome resets my monitor gamma setting when recovering from suspend
I use redshift -xO 4200
to set a custom gamma on my monitor on startup. Internally redshift
calls X API to adjust gamma, so changing gamma can be achieved by, for example xgamma -rgamma 1 -ggamma 0.6 -bgamma 0.6
.
The problem is that when I (1) recover from suspend, (2) close and open laptop lid. (3) play a video for the "first time" in a login session, the gamma is reset (possibly by gnome), so I have to manually adjust gamma again.
