[Feature Request] Provide end-user key-binding customisation
As far as I can tell, key bindings can only be changed by hacking up accelerators.py
; I'd like a way to edit these as a user (i.e., without changing Meld's code).
Given that a large number of the keys conflict with other bindings that I have or simply don't work for me (Anything involving <Alt>
seems to do absolutely nothing on my box.), I'd like to be able to change these easily -- ideally in a plaintext file that I can version control / share across machines ... but ... given that the rest of the settings use Gnome's goofy 'registry' (or whatever the Gnomespeak is for what dconf Editor / Gio.Settings
edit), I'd even be satisfied editing them in dconf, rather than needing to pull the code and cherry-pick my changes to some Python source (which aren't worth PRing, since, very probably, others don't want my key bindings).
