ignore files with certain date

Hey hey,

Let's start with a disclaimer, I am not trained as a programmer, but like to adjust once in a while some firmware for 3D printers and other arduino programs, so my workflow might be a bit different than it should be...

As a 'not github experienced user' (I just don't use it enough to know all the 'simple' tricks) I like to copy a new version of a firmware and the change my own adjustments I did before on a previous firmware. These are just a few files. I know which files these are becuse they have differnet date.

Now the request: It would be nice to ignore all files from a certain date when comparing.

Edit: or just compare files where the file contains a certain comment. When I change something in a file, I always comment with a date and 'joris' (so technically I only have to update the files containing that comment).

Maybe I am not clear, please let me know, i will give some more details of my workflow.

cheers / joris www.rooiejoris.nl
