Have a way to access the image name
Using Loupe 44.0 from Flathub:
One thing that I very often need to do when looking at many images is to make a selection of them, or a shortlist of them, or send the names of my favourite images to someone.
The most straightforward way to do that is to copy the image name and paste it somewhere.
Right now I see no way to access easily the image name. It is displayed in the title bar but isn’t selectable that’s it.
Another very useful thing when browsing images is to be able to rename them. Whether it is to give them more descriptive names, or to append some info to find them later.
I suggest two directions:
-
Have the image name displayed as a field, possibly as the first one, in the Image Properties panel. That way it would be easily selectable and copyable. It could even have a Copy icon the way the Folder field has a Open icon, or in the case of a renaming feature, a Rename icon, i.e. the field would be editable.
-
Have some sort of interaction when clicking the image name in the title bar. I could open some menu related to the name, or turn the title into a field, maybe with the name preselected and ready to be copied or renamed.
Or some combination of the two.
