Reconsider pkgconfig simplification
Could you re-examine 9258c9e7 ?
In Debian, I had to have our libsoup -dev package depend on libpsl-dev
and libsqlite-3-dev
since they are now listed in Requires.private
in the pkgconfig file.
See for instance, this midori build log
-- Checking for modules 'sqlite3>=3.6.19;gio-2.0>=2.48.0;libsoup-2.4>=2.48.0'
-- Package 'libpsl', required by 'libsoup-2.4', not found
CMake Error at /usr/share/cmake-3.13/Modules/FindPkgConfig.cmake:452 (message):
A required package was not found
I don't think it's a big deal either way, but if the dependencies aren't needed, it's nice to not have to include them.
