Build times are incredibly slow and sizes incredibly large
I've just built librsvg-2.42.0 and it took 6m 13s. The build size was 611 MB. The system used 12 cores for part of the build.
For comparison librsvg-2.40.20 was 18s and 15 MB using 1 core.
I am using rust-1.23.0, but what are you doing that makes the build blow up like that?
The build procedure in both cases was:
./configure --prefix=/usr \ --disable-static \ --enable-vala make make -k check make install
In addition, the new build had a lot of test failures:
TOTAL: 131 PASS: 113 SKIP: 0 XFAIL: 0 FAIL: 17 XPASS: 0 ERROR: 1
An example failure:
Storing test result image at /tmp/777834-empty-text-children-out.png 4652 pixels differ (with maximum difference of 255) from reference image Storing test result image at /tmp/777834-empty-text-children-diff.png
For comparison, librsvg-2.40.20 on the same system had a single failure and the same test was a lot closer:
Storing test result image at /tmp/777834-empty-text-children-out.png 2481 pixels differ (with maximum difference of 255) from reference image Storing test result image at /tmp/777834-empty-text-children-diff.png
