Error on glib-compile-schemas
Hi,
When running glib-compile-schemas /usr/local/share/glib-2.0/schemas
, I get the following error message:
[root@disclosure:~]# glib-compile-schemas /usr/local/share/glib-2.0/schemas
[...]
/usr/local/share/glib-2.0/schemas/org.gnome.nm-applet.gschema.xml:4:1 Error on line 4 char 1: <schema id='org.gnome.nm-applet'> already specified. This entire file has been ignored.
When looking for this specific schema id, I did indeed find two different schema definitions using it:
[root@disclosure:~/usrlocal/stow]# grep -l '<schema id="org.gnome.nm-applet"' /usr/local/share/glib-2.0/schemas/*
/usr/local/share/glib-2.0/schemas/org.gnome.libnma.gschema.xml
/usr/local/share/glib-2.0/schemas/org.gnome.nm-applet.gschema.xml
[root@disclosure:~]# grep '<schema id="org.gnome.nm-applet"' /usr/local/share/glib-2.0/schemas/*
/usr/local/share/glib-2.0/schemas/org.gnome.libnma.gschema.xml: <schema id="org.gnome.nm-applet" path="/org/gnome/nm-applet/" gettext-domain="nm-applet">
/usr/local/share/glib-2.0/schemas/org.gnome.nm-applet.gschema.xml: <schema id="org.gnome.nm-applet" path="/org/gnome/nm-applet/" gettext-domain="nm-applet">
The source code in question is here (libnma) and here (network-manager-applet).
I decided to report this issue here simply because of the schema's name, ie. I would find it logical that org.gnome.nm-applet
actually "belongs to" network-manager-applet
, rather than libnma
. If you think this is wrong, feel free to reassign the issue to network-manager-applet
instead.
Thanks for listening!
Thomas
