Description
Please describe the problem: When an attempt is made to add a very large number of files to the Nautilus "Burn DVD" window, Nautilus will try to allocate all available memory, and must be manually terminated. Nautilus reports that there are over 200000 files to burn, although "find | wc -l" only reports around 82000 files. Other programs, such as DAR (http://dar.linux.free.fr), handle this directory tree just fine.
Steps to reproduce:
- Insert blank DVD disk.
- Elect to use Nautilus to burn the DVD.
- Drag a folder containing a very large number of files to the "Burn DVD" window.
Actual results: Nautilus tries to allocate all available memory. The system eventually runs out of memory.
Expected results: All files should be successfully added.
Does this happen every time? Yes.
