Description
It would help if GVFS had some short guide on how to make it work after jhbuild. I have a system with older GNOME where GLib doesn't include GIO. So, I have done roughly this:
$ jhbuild build gvfs
Everything with compilation went fine, but I get the following error from anything that uses GIO:
$ gvfs-mount --list
(gvfs-mount:4720): GVFS-RemoteVolumeMonitor-WARNING **: remote volume monitor with dbus name org.gtk.Private.HalVolumeMonitor is not supported
I have no idea on how to solve that and searching the web doesn't help. Without solving this it is impossible e.g. to make tests in PyGObject pass, because some tests use volume monitor (and I guess tests in GLib or GTK+ won't pass either).
BTW, I tried starting up the daemons that ended up in 'libexec' folder after jhbuilding --- no success.
