Nautilus locks up when creating files or directories in gvfs-google
Nautilus locks up (all open windows) when creating files or directories in gvfs-google. Renaming, Removing and opening works.
Reproduce:
- Open google drive within Nautilus
- Right-click -> "New Folder"
- Enter a name (
asd
) and commit - Nautilus locks up (the file or directory is created) and needs to be
kill
ed (Window controls are frozen, GUI "Quit" from Activities or similar is ineffective)
Killing/Restarting Nautilus seems to have no ill effects thankfully.
I've had some weird effects in this however, it is not always reproducible. I've previously (half an hour ago) had lock-ups on names like "Elixir", and "Text File", now it will only lock up on names starting with lower case a
.
Eg.
- Creating
aBBB
locks up Nautilus - Creating
BBBa
does not lock up Nautilus - Creating
ABBB
does not lock up Nautilus
And while writing this... Suddenly files starting with a
are now working, so I tested random strings from b
to h
, which is now locking up (hsediopruasy
, and hsediopruasyasd
lock but hsqwe
wasn't.)
What I noticed is that if X
fails, then concat(X, Y)
fails as well if run right after, that was the only consistent thing
Obviously there is some time component here, but I don't think any more tests from my side will help.
Versions:
- gvfs-google 1.40.2-1
