Description
We have a nice feature in GVFS where we can get a default location for a mount point. But unfortunately almost all entry points require a URI. There is no clear way to request the default location from a URI.
The sftp scheme has an atypical way to do it (see http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-secsh-scp-sftp-ssh-uri-04#section-3.4): sftp://user@host.example.com/~/file.txt
One option would be to interpret ~ as per the sftp spec and perhaps for other uri schemes.
Another option may be to have a gvfs specific query string such as "gvfs-relative-to-default=true". sftp://user@host.example.com/file.txt?gvfs-relative-to-default=true
