gvfs-smb can't rename file or directory

Using gvfs 1.36.2 (on latest Debian testing), I cannot rename a file nor a directory on a Windows Server 2016 share. Nautilus complains about the file not existing during the rename. Any write through gvfs (gedit or libreoffice) produces a dangerous behavior. A first call to the save button will suppress the original file (with an error about the file not existing), and a second call will correctly write the updated file.

I have tried to access to this server using a native cifs mount, and I have no problem when I edit or rename a file/directory.
