Description
Apologies if this is the wrong place.
In Europe, Nokia hold 50% of the smart-phone market. If you attach a modern Nokia via a USB cable, you get a choice of "mass storage" or "PC Suite" mode.
In "PC Suite" mode, there's a device node that can be mounted (via FUSE) with something like: /usr/bin/obexfs -u 1 /path/to/mountpoint
It'd be great if GNOME could take care of this and have an icon appear in "Computer" and then mount on clicking instead of having to do it manually.
I could use "mass storage" mode, but on my Nokia that has a habit of giving me errors and disappearing/reappearing, whereas Obex mode works beautifully. (Same on Windows). And some Nokias (pre 2007-ish?) don't have the mass storage mode in any case.
Thank you for your attention! From what I know, this could be an easy enhancement that would make lots of people happy. In "PC Suite" mode it already appears magically in NetworkManager - it'd be great to be able to access the filesystem at the same time without having to disconnect from the Internet etc.
