Compilation fails with --disable-gconf

Description
When configuring gucharmap-2.21.3 with ./configure --disable-gconf and without having gconf-stuff installed, configure runs completely but with this output:
checking for gconftool-2... no ./configure: line 21996: gconftool-2: command not found Using config source for schema installation Using $(sysconfdir)/gconf/schemas as install directory for schema files
Later on, compilation fails with:
gucharmap-settings.c: In function 'gucharmap_settings_add_window': gucharmap-settings.c:432: warning: implicit declaration of function 'gconf_client_get_bool' gucharmap-settings.c:432: error: 'client' undeclared (first use in this function) gucharmap-settings.c:432: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once gucharmap-settings.c:432: error: for each function it appears in.) gucharmap-settings.c:434: warning: implicit declaration of function 'gconf_client_get_int'
It would be cool if this can be fixed, I don't want to install the gconf stuff just to use gucharmap. Thanks.
Version: 2.21.x
