[3.24] x11: Trap errors happening when getting output properties

Jonas Ådahl requested to merge jadahl/gtk:wip/another-randr-error-trap into gtk-3-24

This is to avoid getting X11 errors (thus aborting/exiting with a failure) during rapid hotplugs, which may happen during e.g. CI testing.

Another test fluke fix for the mutter CI, I hope.
