Ctrl-backspace does not work if no letters are present

Description
If the TextView component only has non-letters left to the cursor, ctrl-backspace stops working, it doesn't delete any text.
Specific example: Open gtk3-widget-factory
, go to page 2, remove all of the text and enter a single dot ".". Press ctrl-backspace.
Expected behavior: Everything left to the cursor gets deleted, as there are no more letters. This is also the actual behavior of the Entry class.
Actual behavior: Nothing is deleted, the key combination does not have any effect.
Also not working is ctrl-left in the above situation. Movement to the right works.
