Starting GtkFileChooser spins up all hard drives

Description
When any application uses the GtkFileChooser my harddrive starts to spin. It is mounted under /media and usually sleeping.
This should not happen when GtkFileChooser is started to save a file into /home/user/Downloads (which is on an SSD), because doing so does not require GtkFileChooser to read any other directory than /home/user/Downloads.
Correct behaviour: Directories should be read when they are opened.
I don't have any bookmarks in GtkFileChooser, and none of the default bookmarks like /home/user/Desktop and /home/user are on a harddrive.
