Fractional Scaling: Blurry font in Image Viewer (Loupe)
Steps to reproduce
- Turn on Fractional Scaling (using 125% + 150%).
- Install and launch Loupe (Image Viewer) via Flathub / gnome-nightly / Arch Package.
- Observe the blurry font.
Current behavior
Loupe's information panel, hamburger menu and about dialog have blurry text under fractional scaling. This can be mitigated either by disabling fractional scaling for GTK 4 (GDK_DEBUG=gl-no-fractional
) or by using the Vulkan renderer (GSK_RENDERER=vulkan
).
Adwaita Demo and other GTK 4 applications does not seem to have this issue.
Expected outcome
Fonts look clear and sharp.
