gtk4-demo-application wrong menu items and order
Steps to reproduce
- Run gtk4-demo-application
- Look at the menu items "Application" "File"
Current behavior
Compared to gtk3-demo-application, there is now a "File" menu but the "Preferences" menu is gone. Items that belonged to the "Preferences" menu, are now under "File".
Expected outcome
The items under "Application" should be in "Files", the "Preferences" menu should be back and the items currently in the "File" belong in there. This frees up the "Application" menu for system standard items (for example on macOS "About", "Settings",..., "quit app"), these don't show up as long as the items belonging to "File" show there.
That the "Files" items are in the "Application" menu is something I consider a bug in gtk3-demo-application as well.
Version information
Tested with GTK 4 4.12.5 installed via Homebrew on macOS 14.4. Confirmed behavior on Linux Gnome/KDE by someone else, but I don't have the version information for that.
