Gtk4 apps very glitchy when run with gles on mobile
I am trying to make hardware acceleration work on mobile linux (running wayland compositor). But it seems gtk4 does not autodetect gles on my device as it throws shader compilation errors, so i have to force it with GDK_DEBUG=gl-gles environment variable. The result is that the app gets very glitchy when scrolling even though it performs better now with the environment variable set.
My phone has powervr ge8320 gpu that supports gles 3.2. I have short video below that describes the problem better: problem
