Have you tested Nightly to see if the issue has been fixed?
I have tested that the issue exists on the latest Nightly as well (45.alpha).
Bug information
Steps to reproduce
- Open a GNOME Text Editor window
- Try resizing the window by dragging the edges
Current behaviour
When running on Wayland, the window does not resize itself upon dragging
from the edges. This only seems to happen with GNOME Text Editor specifically.
I tried five other applications on my system, and none of them has this problem
(Telegram, Element, Thunderbird, Chrome, and GNOME Terminal).
Sometimes I am able to drag the edges even when the drag icon is not shown.
I’m unsure what the condition there is, but it seems random. 9 out of 10 times,
it does not work.
Video demonstration:

The issue does not exist when running GNOME on X.Org. That is what I usually
use, but I was trying out Wayland today for an unrelated reason, and I noticed
this bug immediately.
Expected behaviour
The window should resize itself when dragged from the edges, just like other windows do.
