GTK4 text editor: Triple-clicking does not select a multiline paragraph, only the current line
Steps to reproduce
- Start gnome-text-editor (or any GTK4 text app)
- Write a multiline paragraph without pressing
Return ⏎
between the lines - Triple-click on the paragraph to select it.
Current behaviour
- GTK4 text editor: Triple-clicking does not select a multiline paragraph, only the current line
- GTK3 text editor: works as expected
Expected outcome
- GTK4 text editor: Triple-clicking selects a multiline paragraph until the line breaks with a
Return ⏎
, just like GTK3.
Version information
- GTK 4.8.3+ds-2 on Debian testing
Additional information
I use triple-clicking all the time to determine where a multiline paragraph is broken with a Return ⏎
. So I consider this a regression from GTK3.
