Copy-pasted text doesn't go to the selected line

a section of text - Move down to a different section of the text

Ctrl + V
into a new area

What happened that made it evident there was a problem?
- The pasted text inserted itself into a previously selected line
- In the above screenshot, the selected line when
Ctrl + V
as sent was the line below#include "internal/cameraMatrices.hpp"

What did you expect to see instead?
- The pasted text be inserted into the selected line
