GtkTextView test with many lines of text first warns then seg-faults
Inserting a few hundred lines of text into a GtkTextView (packed in a box, in a scrolled window, in a top level window) leads to critical warnings from Gskcritical-trace:
Gsk-CRITICAL **: 14:50:29.071: Texture 1280 x 20960 is bigger than supported texture limit of 16384; clipping...
and sometimes to a SIGSEGVsegv-trace.
Test case attachedscroll.c. Usage is ./scroll 500
to test with 500 lines of (wrapped) text. With my setup, 204 lines are enough to trigger the warning, and 500 are enough for a seg-fault, but YMMV.
