File picker: File type menu button disabled when typing
Steps to reproduce
- Start an app which uses the GTK (GNOME?) file picker and supports at least two kinds of files.
- Trigger a file picker dialog (the details depend on the app)
- Start typing letters as the dialog becomes visible.
Current behavior
The file type menu-button becomes disabled - grayed-out: You can't open it and choose a different type. In fact, even if you now clear the typing by deleting what you've typed - the menu-button is still grayed-out. Only by clicking on the locations in the left side-bar can you clear the type-in mode and re-enable the file type menu button.
Expected outcome
The file type menu-button should remains active, allowing you to still make a choice of file type even when results are filtered.
Version information
Seeing this, for example, with gedit 42.2 and with LibreOffice 7.4.1.2 - but really with every application.
I'm using Devuan GNU/Linux Daedalus (i.e. Debian Bookworm without systemd), and my GTK version seems to be 3.24.34 - provided by the distribution.
