Touchpad clicks sometimes stop working in GTK 4 apps
Steps to reproduce
- Launch a GTK 4 app. I can reproduce with e.g. GNOME Control Center from Fedora 36 and Spot from Flathub, but GNOME Builder's 43 alpha seems to be the most reliable.
- Interact with it for a while. Quickest way seems to be opening a terminal tab and building a Rust app with
$ cargo run
, but I don't think it happens 100% of the time. - Attempt to interact with the app using a touchpad
This does not reproduce the issue 100% of the time unfortunately, so there may be some additional setup necessary to make it occur. Nonetheless, it happens frequently enough for me to regularly resort to restarting apps to work around the issue.
Current behavior
Touchpad input sometimes stops working in GTK 4 apps.
Expected outcome
Both input methods work.
Version information
GTK 4.0 version 4.6.5 (and also whatever the GNOME 42 runtime on Flathub ships) Fedora Linux 36
